Is Flare Communications a licensed and insured electrician in St. Louis?
Yes. Flare Communications is a licensed electrical contractor for St. Louis City and St. Louis County, fully insured, and family-owned and operated since 2000. We handle both residential and commercial projects from our Ballwin, MO headquarters.
What areas do you serve?
We serve St. Louis City and St. Louis County, including Ballwin, Chesterfield, Clayton, Creve Coeur, Des Peres, Ellisville, Fenton, Kirkwood, Ladue, Manchester, Maryland Heights, Town and Country, Webster Groves and Wildwood, plus the St. Charles metro. Nearby Metro East Illinois communities such as Belleville, Collinsville, Edwardsville and O'Fallon are evaluated case by case. Call (636) 391-7530 to confirm your location.
How much does a panel upgrade or EV charger install cost?
We don't publish package prices because every panel, service and wire run is different. Quotes come after a site check or, for many EV charger jobs, a quick photo or video triage of your panel and charger location. You then get a firm written quote with any panel or service work called out separately. Consultations and estimates are free.
Do you do 200-amp panel upgrades?
Yes. We replace outdated or overloaded panels, including Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels, and upgrade services when more capacity is needed for renovations, new loads or EV charging. 200 amps is not always required; we size the work after seeing your existing service and loads. The process is site check, firm quote, then a permitted install through inspection. Details: https://flarecomm.com/panel-upgrade.
Do you install Tesla Wall Connectors and other Level 2 EV chargers?
Yes. We install Tesla Wall Connectors and other Level 2 EV chargers as licensed electrical work: dedicated circuit planning from the panel to the charger location, a panel capacity check, permitting and inspection, neat mounting and labeling, and a walkthrough. If your panel can't support a charger, we tell you and quote the upgrade separately. Details: https://flarecomm.com/ev-charger.
Can you quote from photos or a FaceTime call?
Often, yes. For many EV charger installs we can start with a short video look at your panel and the proposed charger location to speed up the quote. Panel upgrades and complex or older services still get an on-site check before a firm quote. Sending a photo of your panel when you call or fill out the form helps either way.
Do you install commercial EV charging for offices, fleets and multi-tenant properties?
Yes. Commercial EV charging starts with a load and capacity review, then a plan for dedicated circuits, equipment mounting, cable pathways and permits, coordinated through inspection. See https://flarecomm.com/services/electrical/ev-charger-installation.
Do you pull permits and handle inspections?
Yes. We handle the necessary electrical permits and inspections with the local authority having jurisdiction, and we coordinate with the utility when a service change is required. Our team works to local code requirements in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and surrounding areas.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency electrical service?
Yes. Emergency service is available 24/7 for critical electrical issues such as power loss, burning smells or sparks, repeated breaker trips, water near electrical equipment, exposed wiring and failing panels. Call (636) 391-7530. More: https://flarecomm.com/emergency-electrician.
